Tara & Shawn
Sunday, July 30th, 2006The Cathedral of the Incarnation on West End (you know… across from Taco Bell) was the site of Tara & Shawn’s July wedding. They chose the 7:30 ceremony time which comes just after the Saturday mass (5:30-6:30), so timing is critical to ensure we have enough time for a few formals prior to the ceremony. Well, Tara, Shawn, and the bridal party handled the timing perfectly and were all there according to the schedule, so we sailed through their portrait session. Post-ceremony photos with family also went great because everyone was there and ready to acoomplish all the remaining groups - and photos of Tara & Shawn - within the alotted 30 minutes. A big thank you to everyone, because that effiiency contributes heavily to achieving the best collection of images. From the Cathedral, Tara & Shawn took a romantic carriage ride to the reception site which was the Country Music Hall of Fame. The contemporary table decor designed by Peggy Stubblefield of Tea & Co. was outstanding and fit their style perfectly. The choice for live entertainment was our good friend David Nuding of Nashville Blue Tones, and David and the band kept friends and famliy on their feet the entire night. A great bouquet toss and exit with sparklers on the front steps of the Hall of Fame made the perfect ending to a well-planned event. Congratulations, Tara & Shawn! Above: Just before the bride is to go down the aisle is probably one of my favorite times of a wedding day. Everyone involved is nervous - yet excited - for their own reason. It’s always a thrill for me to photograph what transpires during this short period of time.

Above three images: We tend to like a splash of a “commercial” look in our images and we find that many clients also have a taste for the images they see in publications, so we’re able to use our perspective and artistic freedom to produce some stunning images that reflect that look.
